Thanks, Jazz!

This week the storybook that was the 2006-2007 Utah Jazz season came to a close. While they didn't go all the way and take home the championship, they did do a whole lot better than anyone would have predicted when the season started back in November. We were pretty sure at the time they'd make the playoffs, probably around the 6th or 7th seed, behind only Denver in the Northwest Division. Some even held out hope that they'd make it to the second round, although that was considered by many to be somewhat "homerish" and by most to be euphamistically optimistic. No one thought they'd be in the Western Conference Finals, one of only 4 teams in the NBA to still be playing at the end of May.

A 51-31 regular season, division champs and a deep playoff run cements this season as one of the all-time greats for the Jazz. It wasn't the finals, but it was the best season they had in a long long time. And it's been extremely fun to watch (and painful, at times, too!)

I'm looking forward to many many years of really good Utah Jazz basketball to come.

Thanks Jazz!
