A pause between episodes
Due to life happening, the Utah Sports Cast is on a brief hiatus. Our next audio episode will be posted on Tuesday, Feburary 13th. Hopefully by then Carlos Boozer's knee will be well on its way to total recovery, and it won't turn into a pulled hamstring, or stubbed toe, or whatever else may have been wrong with him in the past. Is it too much to ask for one -- just ONE -- complete season out of this guy? I mean, for $60+ million, is that really too much to ask?The Jazz continue to get beat on buzzer-beaters by opposing all stars. This last loss to New Jersey on Monday night marks the 6th loss this year by 3 points or less. By contrast, the Jazz have only won 4 games by the same narrow margin, and only one in January. There is cause for hope, however, as the Jazz are "in" just about every game, having only lost twice this season by more than 15 points (102-132 to the Lakers and 106-83 to the Spurs). We shall see how well "the Replacements" can do in Boozer's absence, but take heart folks -- this time, we've still got Deron Williams running the show. It is cause for optimism, I promise.
The BYU-Utah rivalry continues this evening as the two men's basketball teams face off in the Huntsman Center. Odds and common sense say the Cougars should win this one going away, however, Utah's been hot lately, and anything can happen in a rivalry, as we all found out last November.
Hang in there, folks, we'll be back with great audio content shortly. In Nate's absence (in DisneyWorld), I, Zach, will be writing some blog posts and trying to keep the tradition alive. Please continue checking back.
Comments, as always, are welcome.
